THE WHITE SANGRIA RECIPE 5:43
1/2 peach, sliced
1/2 lemon, sliced
4-5 strawberries, sliced
3 oz (1/3 cup or 90 ml) semi-rich simple syrup (1.5:1 sugar:water)
4 oz (1/2 cup or 120 ml) fresh lemon juice
4 oz (1/2 cup or 120 ml) Giffard Orchard Apricot Liqueur
6 oz (3/4 cup or 180 ml) Valdespino "Ynocente" Fino Sherry
1 bottle (750 ml) Abellio Albariño (or any dry white wine)
OPTIONAL: Top each glass with a splash of soda water
SCALED BACK VERSION (serves 1-2)
2 peach slices
2 lemon slices
1-2 strawberries, sliced
3/4 oz (22.5 ml) semi-rich simple syrup (1.5:1 sugar:water)
1 oz (30 ml) fresh lemon juice
1 oz (30 ml) Giffard Orchard Apricot Liqueur
1.5 oz (30 ml) Valdespino "Ynocente" Fino Sherry
6 oz (180 ml) Abellio Albariño (or any dry white wine)
OPTIONAL: Top with a splash of soda water

    I was served an excellent white sangria earlier this year. It was white wine, tequila, raspberry liqueur, lemon juice, ginger syrup. They served it with a wedge of pineapple, which was weird, though.

    Be careful with your pots (Stainless steel, copper is better), any remaining flavor in them will be transferred to the syrup

    Check out Bluecoat Gin. Copper pot distilled with organic juniper, coriander, and angelica. It’s citrus forward but not a bomb. Great for a Gimlet!

    Recently opened a bottle of apricot liquor and wondering now what it’s shelf life is gonna be. It’s 18% ABV and I know fortified wines will go bad at this ABV. It does have some sugar though. Any thoughts? Should I keep it more like vermouth or like something shelf stable?

    lol... If you're starting out, you gonna go to your local supermarket and buy whatever affordable rum they have there. For me (if we ignore rum alternatives) that was Heffron Original and Bacardi Carta Blanca in sale.

    If you want5 to keep it "white" I'd suggest skipping the strawberries. I have used apples, white grapes, nectarines in addition to the peaches and lemons.
